Using Music & Memory to Improve Therapeutic Outcomes

In this webinar you'll learn about Music & Memory from its founder and Executive Director, Dan Cohen, MSW. He is joined by Julie Hyland, Director Wisconsin Student Programs, who provides an overview of Music & Memory activity in Wisconsin.

One of the missions of regulatory/licensing agencies is to seek ways to promote quality health care and improve the quality of life of people that live in the setting we regulate, the Music & Memory program is a evidence based program that enables the residents to reconnect, regain social skills and live more fully.

We explore Music & Memory's history, therapeutic effectiveness (reducing agitation and sundowning, enhancing engagement and socialization, fostering a calmer social environment, reduction in antipsychotic medication use, depression and pain) and impact on the lives of individuals as demonstrated in current research findings.

In addition, they share information on the Music & Memory current areas of focus and expansion, including a targeted pilot taking place in Wisconsin to engage students as volunteers.

This is a life changing presentation.
