2021 Annual Licensing Seminar: Leading through a Lens of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
The 2021 NARA Professional Development Committee is seeking session proposals for seminar content embodying this year's theme of leading through a lens of diversity, equity & inclusion.
How do you promote diversity, equity and inclusion that increases and ensures equal access & opportunity for individuals who received services in the settings we regulate? Please consider sharing lessons learned, new programs or innovations, and/or ideas with your regulatory colleagues. NARA is encouraging panels and collaborative presentations as well.
Please note: NARA is planning on hosting the 2021 Seminar in-person in Tulsa, OK as scheduled from October 3-6. The planning team is reviewing opportunities to participate virtually as well. NARA's staff continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation and related travel advisories & restrictions, and will make decisions regarding any changes based on what is in the best interest of the health & safety of both our members and Seminar participants, as well as NARA staff and the Board of Directors. Any updates will be shared here and through NARA email communications.

Over 200 attendees from across the United States and Canada
Regulators, researchers and providers with backgrounds in child care, child welfare and adult care
Guidelines
Presentations will be 75 minutes, which includes time for Q&A.
NARA is unable to provide reimbursement for presenter expenses; however, a discounted registration rate for the full Seminar will be offered to one presenter per workshop. Before submitting a proposal, please ensure that you will be able to attend the Seminar in order to help us avoid cancellations.
All submitted session proposals will be reviewed by the Professional Development Committee.
You will be notified whether or not your proposal has been accepted for the Seminar in late May.
