What’s your role at NARA and what do you find most rewarding about it? I’m the Membership Coordinator, and I find it most rewarding to connect with members, support their needs, and help grow our NARA community.
In one sentence, explain NARA’s mission to someone outside the industry? NARA’s mission is to promote the health and safety of children and adults by ensuring quality care through effective regulatory practices.
How long have you been with NARA? I’ve been with NARA since June 2023.
What’s your favorite part of your job? My favorite part of the job is building relationships with our members and creating processes that make their experience with NARA seamless.
If you could trade jobs with anyone at NARA for a day, whose role would you want to try and why? I’d trade roles with Ivoire to see firsthand what his day-to-day responsibilities look like and gain a new perspective on his contributions.
What’s the most common misconception people have about the regulatory world? The most common misconception is that regulations are overly restrictive, when in reality, they are designed to protect and ensure safety for everyone involved.
When you’re not keeping things compliant, what’s your favorite way to unwind or recharge? I enjoy hiking, working out, or practicing yoga to unwind and recharge.
What’s the most memorable moment you’ve had working at NARA so far? The seminars have been the most memorable moments for me because of the opportunity to engage with members and see NARA’s impact in action.
What’s a “fun fact” about you that no one would guess just by looking at your regulatory resume? A fun fact about me is that I love exploring nature trails and have a personal goal to visit all the major national parks.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? The best piece of advice I’ve received is: "A man without a plan is a man set up for failure."
